Scott McClenathan Obituary

McClenathan, Scott
Scott McClenathan, age 24, son of Julie Aldworth McClenathan and Robert McClenathan of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 2 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, surrounded by his family. Scott attended Monroe schools: Stepney Elementary School, Chalk Hill and Jockey Hollow Middle Schools, and Masuk High School. He also attended the Family Foundation School in Hancock, NY, and Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH.
A multi-sport athlete, Scott played baseball, basketball, soccer, and football. His greatest passion, however, was snowboarding; he lived in Vermont, Utah, Colorado, and California in pursuit of alpine adventures. He was a loyal friend and a compassionate listener. He was intelligent, creative, and resourceful.
Scott is survived by his parents, and his brothers Mike and Sean McClenathan of NY. He leaves behind friends and family in many states, including his grandmother Rhodi Aldworth of CO, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be held at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT on Thursday, June 6th, from 5-8 p.m. A Memorial service will be held at Monroe Congregational Church, 34 Church Street, Monroe on Saturday, June 8, at 5 p.m. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Monroe Congregational Church, 34 Church St, Monroe, CT 06468, for the benefit of the Senior Pilgrim Fellowship youth group.
