It's been almost 40 years, I still remember my first teacher - RIP Miss Shirley. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. May their memories bring them comfort.

Dear Sandy and family, my sympathy and prayers are with you. Shirley will stay alive in my heart each time I tell a story about our gatherings, travels or family moments. Our families grew up together and there were many happy times. Both moms were great story tellers and great friends. College, weddings, church and travels as well as everyday coffee hours are just some of the events shared with best friends long ago. Shirley took the credit for introducing Al Farnworth to Florence, the start of weaving our families together. I'll always think of her with a smile on my face and believe the best friends are happy to be together again. Your mom was a special woman with a love for life. As time goes on may your sorrow be filled with memories of joy.

Dear Sandy and family, The Dirgo family offers our condlences on your loss. We each had wonderful memories of our visits with Shirley. She was a very lively, energetic and beautiful person as you know. I looked up to Shirley all of my life. She was always teaching me something - mostly correcting my grammar -which always evolved to etiquette lectures as well! I will best remember how we laughed and laughed on our trips to the circus events with my grandfather. I was exhausted after every trip! I will NEVER forget our awesome interactions. I loved Shirley -God Bless you, Liz Dirgo
