Sophie M. Moczydlowska Domian

DOMIAN Sophie M. Domian (Moczydlowska), age 94 of Simpsonville, S.C., went to be with Our Lord on June 23, 2011. She was the devoted wife of the late Alfred L. Domian, her husband of 65 years. Born in Fairfield on August 6, 1916 to Konstanty and Bronislawa Moczydlowski, she was a life long resident of Fairfield and Easton before moving to South Carolina in 2005. Sophie was a devoted and dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grand-mother. Over her lifetime, the many people who loved her knew her as "Soph," Gram and "Jean." She enjoyed cooking, baking, and playing Bingo. Sophie was a seamstress and also worked for WT Grant Company for 25 years in the credit office. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Valerie Turcsany and husband, Michael of Simpsonville, S.C.; her son, Alfred D. Domian and his wife, Constance of Wilmington Del.; her grandchildren, Trisha Turcsany of Fountain Inn, S.C., Michele Salerno and her husband, Anthony of Simp-sonville, S.C., Nicole Petricca, Christopher and Matthew Domian of Wilmington, Del.; her great-grandchildren, Michael Curtin of Fountain Inn, S.C., Mya and Abigail Salerno of Simpsonville, S.C. Sophie was predeceased by her grandson, Michael J. Turcsany and her three brothers, Connie, Stanley and Charlie Macklow. Her Memorial Mass will be held on August 5th, Friday at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame of Easton Church, 655 Morehouse Road, Easton, with inurnment to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
