Stephen Lukaszewski Obituary

LUKASZEWSKI Stephen Joseph Lukaszewski, age 75 of Trumbull, died Friday, October 1st at St. Vincent's Hospital, Bridgeport. Mr. Lukaszewski was born July 7, 1935 in Paterson, N.J., son of the late Valenty Walter and Josephine (Baworona) Lukaszewski. He served in the 242nd Battalion of the National Guard in Stratford. He worked as a truck hauler for Trans Associates of Bridgeport and later as a contractor in the family construction business. He enjoyed gardening and putting his green thumb to use to make things grow. He also loved the company of people, reading and traveling. He leaves one son, Stephen Lukaszewski and his wife, Yvonne of Woodbury; one daughter, Dawn Houle and her husband, James of Southbury; two brothers, Edward Lukaszewski and his wife, Ceil of Trumbull and Ted Lucas and his wife, Andrea of Madison; three grandchildren, Matthew, Nicole and Michael Houle of Southbury; his niece, Jacqueline of Madison; nephew, Ed and wife, Marianne of Milford and their son, great-nephew, Joshua. He was predeceased by his grandson, Steven Lukas. The family would like to thank the staff of Crescent Manor in Waterbury for their past compassionate and loving care and Maefair Health Care Center in Trumbull for their wonderful care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 11th at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South, Southbury. No calling hours. Arrangements by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury.

I will treasure our time together and the family memories will sustain me until we meet again. So greatful to God I was able to be with you until you passed. Thanks for waiting for me, as I can never get those precious hours back. It hasn't gotten any easier. I miss coming to visit you, I miss our laughs together, your big grin, and your quick wit. Nikki misses you so much and was heartbroken the day you passed away. We all do, Nothing will ever be the same again!
