Stuart A. Jacobson, M.D., of Glastonbury, passed away unexpectedly on July 22, 2022, at Hartford Hospital. His loving life partner, Janice S. Small, and beloved daughter, Mia Weinstein Jacobson, were with him in his final moments, with his treasured sister, Susan E. Jacobson, mourning alongside. He was 68 at the time of his passing. He was the son of the late Harry and Rebecca Govrin Jacobson. A graduate of Yale University and University of Connecticut Medical School, he was a proud physician for over 42 years. As a native of New Haven, he served many Connecticut communities in the areas of occupational health, family medicine and most recently, addiction medicine. He was a compassionate doctor and friend to all with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and service. A lifelong Hartford Whalers and New York Mets fan, he took joy in attending games with his daughter, Mia, and old friends, and later in life, Janice. He loved reading, aviation, and all sports. A captivating intellect with a warm smile and heart of gold, he lived every moment to its fullest. He is survived by his cherished daughter, Mia Weinstein Jacobson; life partner, Janice S. Small; sister, Susan E. Jacobson; along with a community of dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at B'nai Jacob Memorial Park, 200 Wintergreen Ave., New Haven, on Tuesday afternoon, July 26th at 1:00 PM. Robert E. Shure & Son Funeral Home, New Haven, is in care of Arrangements.
