Sue was my preceptor when I was a student nurse tech on 10 North over 30 years ago. She taught me how to become a great nurse. She led by example always putting her patients first and caring for each one as if he or she was a family member. I learned how to advocate, prioritize, spend time getting to know and connect with my patients and the importance of stocking my linen before my shift was over. Throughout my career I have reflected on how Sue set the bar high and gave of herself to her patients, peers and those she took under her wing. I have tried to model her patience, resilience and dedication in my daily work and am so grateful to have learned from her. May she rest in peace. Michelle Harper RN

We are so sorry to hear of the passing Sue. She was such a dynamic individual, always pleasant and energetic and a superb nurse, loving her patients as she would her own family. St Vincent´s was blessed to have had Sue as a loyal employee. May she rest in the peace of a job well done.

I worked with Sue for many years at St Vincent´s Medical Center and she was a caring and loving nurse. She was an excellent nurse who treated all her patients with kindness and respect.A true gem!

My condolences to the family. What a gift it is to have known this great lady! Sue had so many beautiful layers... her heart, her empathy, her desire to learn, her intelligence, her authenticity, her spunk, her ability to eat a whole loaf of bread as her dinner (had to be good bread raisin walnut to be exact) her laughter (totally contagious) her love of life, her love of her family absolutely unsurpassed! She shared so many proud stories of her beautiful family especially her grandsons. She loved every single moment of their lives. So cherished. Love and hugs to you all. Sue, until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand!
