Swan Yuan Obituary
Swan Yuan, 88, of Westport, CT husband of Helen (Kao) Yuan for over 58 years, passed away Wednesday afternoon in Saint Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT.
Mr. Yuan was born on August 12, 1925 in Ningbo, China and has been a resident of Westport for over twenty years. Prior to retiring, Mr. Yuan was a Textile Garment Executive in the clothing manufacturing industry in Hong Kong. He was a graduate of Shanghai Baptist University in China with a Textile Chemistry degree. He loved and enjoyed spending his leisure time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Dr. Andrew Yuan and his wife Sieglinde of Fairfield, CT and Jim Yuan and his wife Sharon of Westport, CT, four grandchildren, Kristina, Kristopher, Connor and Rachel.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service Saturday, July 26th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm im the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road. East, Westport, CT. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Swan Yuan may be made to Elderhouse, 7 Lewis St. Norwalk, CT, (www.elderhouse.org/support/donate/).
