Theresa Hockenberger Obituary

HOCKENBERGER Theresa Kaltenbach Hockenberger, widow of the late George C. Hockenberger, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008. She died one day shy of her 89th birthday. Predeceased by her husband more than 30 years ago, Mrs. Hockenberger still considered him her best friend "my entire life." They both enjoyed vacations together going to Florida in the Spring and the Bahamas in the Fall, as well as summer trips to the Jersey Shore. They loved dancing at the Ritz on Thursday and Sundays to the music of the big bands and on Saturdays they would dine out. Throughout their whole life together they were inseparable, always agreed and never denied each other of anything. Mr. Hocken-berger was a Chief Petty Officer of the Navy for 20 years active and reserve. She is survived by a brother, Robert Kaltenbach of Orange and two sisters, Bertha Brammar and Grace Kaltenbach of Bridgeport. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews for whom she would do anything. Friends are invited to attend her funeral Saturday (TODAY) at 9:30 a.m. (DIRECTLY) at St. Emery's Roman Catholic Church, Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Mt. Grove Cemetery Bridgeport. The Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport is in care of arrangements.
