Duggan, Thomas D.
Thomas Daniel Duggan, 76, of Milford, CT, beloved husband of Marsha Oliver Duggan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Tom was born on August 9, 1939 in Bridgeport, CT, the son of the late Mildred McMullen Duggan and Thomas Duggan.
He attended St. Augustine's Parochial School in Bridgeport and graduated from Bullard Havens Technical High School in 1957. He served his country from 1957 to 1961 in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Naval National Honor Guard and was stationed on the USS Yosemite. Tom was the proud owner of B&F Model and Pattern in Milford, CT and a member of Homeward Acres Golf Course.
Tom was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia Burke Duggan. They were married in 1961 and raised their family in Milford, CT. Besides his wife, Marsha Duggan, he is survived by the rest of his loving family, his children, Kathleen and William Sowka of Woodstock, CT, Thomas Duggan of Milford, CT and James and Lisa Duggan of Milford, CT; sister, Constance Schwarz and brother, William Duggan; grandchildren, Reilly and Roosevelt Sowka and Jake and Tighe Duggan. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Milford Hospital for their care and compassion while Tom fought courageously against diabetes.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. Interment and Military Honors will immediately follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford, CT. Friends and family may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Cody-White Funeral Home. To leave online condolences, please visit our website at www.codywhitefuneralservice.com.
