Veronica Morgan Obituary

MORGAN Veronica Ann Monahan Morgan, age 82, beloved wife of the late John J. Morgan of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2007 in her home with her devoted family by her side. Mrs. Morgan was born in Bridgeport on September 26, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Garry and Sarah Ryan Monahan. She was a graduate of Harding High School, volunteer at the West Haven Veterans Hospital, employed at Chance Vought for many years and most of all, a loving, wife, mother and homemaker. Veronica is survived by her son, John Morgan and his wife, Cynthia of Milford; three daughters, Gertrude (Trudy) Cimino and her husband, Richard of Stratford, Veronica Sheftic and her husband, Robert of Stratford and Susan Pastir and her husband, Michael of Milford; 11 grandchildren, Ashley Morgan, Lori Cimino, Richard Cimino, Brian Maslar and his wife, Stacy, Cynthia Burke and her husband, Brien, Robert Sheftic, Sarah Sheftic, Michael Pastir and his wife, Heather, Matthew Pastir and his wife, Danielle, Mary Wydra and her husband, Timothy, Martin Pastir and his wife, Carrie; 11 great-grandchildren; David Maslar, Michael McPadden, Ayden Burke, Morgan and Maci Pastir, Cameron and Riley Pastir, Melissa and Brian Wydra, Neil and Ian Pastir and a new little Angel to come. She is also survived by her sister, Gertrude Monahan of Stratford and several loving nieces and nephews. Veronica was also predeceased by two brothers, Garry Monahan and John (Bud) Monahan and her sister, Mary E. Liptak. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 26, 2007 DIRECTLY in St. James Church, 2070 Main Street, Stratford at 10:30 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford on Sunday November 25, 2007 from 3 to 7 p.m. Those who so desire may contribute to: Hospice Home Care, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
