CARLISLE - Barton S. Carpenter, 89, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Carlisle Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born at home on the farm in Perry County on November 27, 1935, to the late Sellers and Mary (Ellinger) Carpenter. He is the widower of his late wife Patricia (Weigle) Carpenter, who passed away on April 14, 2012.
Services will be held Thursday, November 6, 2025, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St. Carlisle. The viewing will start at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., burial will follow at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. www.EwingBrothers.com.
