Benjamin A. Murtorff

Benjamin A. Murtorff, age 65, of Carlisle, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 at his residence.

He was born April 21, 1951 in Carlisle to Melvin O. Murtorff of Carlisle and the late Marian A. Murtorff.

Benjamin was a graduate of Bermudian Springs High School and attended Taylor University. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy where he served on the U. S. S. Coral Sea and retired as an inventory manager at the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot.

He is survived by his wife, Isabel Cruz-Murtorff of Carlisle; his father and step-mother, Melvin O. and Phyllis D. Murtorff of Carlisle; children, Joshua B., Nathan M., Gabriel J., Dennis J. (and wife BeLinda), Josue A. and Belinda L.; and siblings, Linda (and husband Dennis) Trostle, Michael Murtorff and Debra Andros.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the U.S. Army War College Memorial Chapel, Carlisle Barracks, PA where he was a member. There will not be a visitation or viewing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Capital Region Division, 1019 Mumma Road, Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
