Betty A. Rutter

June 17, 1941 - November 11, 2025

Betty A. Rutter, 84, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at UPMC Carlisle. She was born on June 17, 1941, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Clarence and Emma (Eppley) Brenneman.

Betty graduated from Carlisle High School with the class of 1958. She was a loving and devoted homemaker. Betty retired from Carlisle McDonald's on High Street after 49 years of service as a cashier. She was a member of the New Kingstown Trinity Global Methodist Church. Betty enjoyed going on camping trips with the church group.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ray G. Rutter; three children, Steven (Debbie) Rutter of Dillsburg, Timothy (Terry) Rutter of York Haven and Susan Woodall of Carlisle; one brother, Leroy Brenneman of Carlisle; one sister, Vickey Babner of Carlisle; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Sandy Price.

A viewing will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Trinity Global United Methodist Church, 4 Main Street, New Kingstown, PA 17072, with Rev. Win Green officiating. The burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Betty's name may be made to the church. www.EwingBrothers.com.
