Born Aug. 30, 1916, in East Donegal Township, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Mervin C. and Olive (Cover) Manning, and the widow of Lester E. Ritchie, who died Sept. 3, 1990.
A 1934 graduate of Carlisle High School and a 1938 graduate of Shippensburg University, she taught elementary school in Highspire.
She was an active member of the Shippensburg First Church of God, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and superintendent of the Missionary Society. After moving to Carlisle, she attended the Carlisle First Church of God.
She is survived by two sons, Philip M. Ritchie of Shippensburg and David L. Ritchie of Chambersburg; a half-sister, Doris Bacorn of Syracuse, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be at 11 am. Tuesday in the Shippensburg First Church of God, 121 E. King St., Shippensburg, with the Rev. D. Alan Mathna, the Rev. W. Stanley Darrah, the Rev. Paul L. Tatum, and the Rev. William J. Garling officiating. Burial will be in Highspire Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St., Shippensburg, and from 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of services in the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Forever Caring Fund at the Church of God Home, 825 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, PA 17013 or to the Stained Glass Window Fund of Shippensburg First Church of God, 121 E. King St., Shippensburg, PA 17257.
