She died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, in Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 10, 1925, in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Harold L. and Laura R. (Clepper) Baker and the widow of William L. Hoffman.
She was of the Protestant Faith and loved her cat, Baby.
Mrs. Hoffman is survived by two sons, William L. Jr. of Grand Forts, N.D. and Carl E. of Carlisle; two brothers, Harold Baker of Shippensburg and Raymond Baker of Carlisle; four sisters, Esther McClintock, Alba Frehn and Doris Failor, all of Carlisle, and Mary Reed of Gardners; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Baker, and two sisters, Nellie Long and Jean Shenk.
The Salvation Army chaplain will officiate at services. Burial will be in the North Middleton Church of God Cemetery, Carlisle.
Friends may call Friday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
