Joanne Miller

1938 - 2025

Joanne Martha Miller, 87, of Mechanicsburg passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at her home after a brief battle with cancer.

Born in Lebanon, Pa. on April 10, 1938 to Everett "Todd" and Anna (nee Masemore) Clagett, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Charles Amos Miller.

Joanne was a 1956 graduate of South Lebanon High School and the Lebanon Business School. She worked as a bookkeeper and retired from the Family Health Council of Central Pennsylvania. In her retirement she volunteered for over twenty years with the Mechanicsburg area Meals On Wheels, had begun volunteering at the Mechanicsburg Senior Center and continued to be active in her church. For over fifty years she was a member of St Paul's United Church of Christ.

Joanne is survived by her daughter, Doris Albrecht,; her son, Roy Miller; and her son-in-law, Wayne Albrecht, who she considered to be her third child. In addition to her two sisters, Susan Fake of Lebanon, Pa. and Janet Hoadley of Harrisburg, Pa., she leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and great-great-nieces and -nephews in Pennsylvania and Texas.

Join Joanne's family for her visitation at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18th at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Mechanicsburg. Interment at St. Paul's columbarium will follow.
