John Rhoads Obituary
John R. Rhoads Sr.
John R. Rhoads Sr., 82, of Newport, PA passed away June 2, 2017 in his home. He was born December 4, 1934 in Toland, Gardners, PA to the late Robert L. andOra P. Brehm Rhoads. John was employed for 38 years at AMP Inc. and retired as a plant supervisor. He was president and member of IMC. John loved fishing, camping and working in his yard. He was a great softball player and dearly loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Connie A. Landis Rhoads; 3 daughters, Vicki (Richard) Pryor, Cathy Wilson and Vincetti (David) Westbrook, all from Carlisle; 2 sons, Jeffery A. Rhoads of Mt. Holly Springs and Daniel M.K. (Theresa) Ramond of Maryland. Also, surviving are 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Lee Rhoads of Carlisle and Larry Rhoads of Dillsburg.John was predeceased by his son, John R. Rhoads Jr.; his daughter, Stacey Sue Rhoads; and
his siblings, Roberta Garner and Harvey, Robert and Clair Rhoads.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110. Online condolences may be made to www.hollingerfuneralhome.com
