Kenneth G. Gardner, 74, of Philadelphia died Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, in the University of Pennsylvania Hospice Center. He was born on Oct. 10, 1936, in Gardners to the late Clarence W. Gardner and Helen Bream Gardner Vance.
Kenneth retired as a creative production manager with a Philadelphia Advertising and Design Firm. He received a degree in Advertising and Design from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Heidelberg, Germany, from December 1959 to April 1962. Ken enjoyed the fine arts of musicals, ballet and the theatre.
He is survived by a brother, Gary G. and his wife Carol of Shippensburg; a sister, Norma L. Shover and her husband Ronald of Carlisle; a step sister-in-law, Doris Vance of Gardner; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Andrew J. "Ike" Marconi of Philadelphia.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing or visitation and private interment will be held in the Mt. Victory Cemetery in Gardners.
