Larry Norman Kimmel 75, passed away at his home in Shermans Dale, Pa. on Friday, January 24, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on Wednesday, April 6, 1949, in Carlisle, Pa., to Lewis and Marion (Shearer) Kimmel. Larry proudly served his country in the US Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He is survived by his three children: son, Timothy S. Kimmel (wife, Christine ) of Newport, two daughters: Jocelyn L. Nickerson (husband, Van) of New Cumberland, Marian E. Gardner (husband, Ben) of Clover, S.C.; five grandchildren: Tyler Shatto, Elizabeth Kimmel, Matthew Dawson, Kelby Kimmel and Riley Kimmel; four great grandchildren: Gage, Nolan, Oliver and Trace; and five siblings: Rhonda Doster, Joy Hair, Bill Kimmel, Brian Kimmel and Linda Paulus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jocelyn A. Kimmel on October 27, 2020.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Hoffman Funeral and Cremation 2020 W. Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Pastor Richard Reese will be officiating. Burial will follow at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. www.Hoffmanfh.com.
