Mabel Elizabeth (Leib) Strock, age 97, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Born March 28, 1928, in Boiling Springs, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Woods) Leib.

Mabel was a lifelong farmer, agriculturalist, a proudly loyal and dedicated farm wife, and an integral part of Strockland Farm turkeys. She was a member of the Cumberland County Farm Women Association and a longtime leader of the county 4-H. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church, Mechanicsburg, and active in the Guyer Sunday School class. She chaired the Fellowship Committee at FUM for many years and served as a Youth Sunday School teacher. Her dedication to the care and development of children was evident not only at the church but even more so within her own family. She was also well-known for her ham loaf, turkey salad, pork barbecue, and assorted pies. Later in life, she served as breakfast caterer for the Mechanicsburg Rotary and worked at BJ's Wholesale Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde L. Strock; and by her siblings, Mary Shambaugh, Emily Nearhood, Samuel, Blaine, Wayne, William, Boyd, Florence Line, and Romaine Sheaffer. Surviving are her two sons, Kent and wife, Raelene of Mechanicsburg and Alan and wife, Barbara of Denver, PA; two daughters, Karen Simmons and husband, Richard of Mechanicsburg and Joan Egolf and husband, John of Dillsburg; 10 grandchildren, Kyle (Robin) Strock, Kurtis (Heather) Strock, Jason, Erin and Marc Simmons, Spencer and Austin (Samantha) Egolf, Rebecca Cramer, Bethany and Angela Strock; as well as her great-grandchildren, Rayden, Asher, Emma, Clyde, and Enola.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 18 at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg. Burial will take place in Chestnut Hill Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 17, from 5 to 7 p.m.
