Rodney C. Rickrode

Rodney C. Rickrode, 60, of Chambersburg and formerly of Carlisle passed away Thursday November 23, 2017 in the Hershey Medical Center with his family by his side, after a six year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
He was born January 5, 1957 in Carlisle to the late Harry J. and Peggy Martin Rickrode.
He is survived by his wife of almost 39 years Elizabeth A. Hoover Rickrode whom he married December 9, 1978.
He was a 1975 graduate of Carlisle High School, served in the U.S. Army, and attended HACC. He was an electrician and had worked for Capitol Products, Lear, and Jones Lang Lasalle. And owned Rodney Rickrode Electric. He was a member of the Plainfield First Church of God. Rodney enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one son Rodney C. Rickrode Jr. and his wife Holland of Chambersburg, one grandson Harrison J. Rickrode, his dog Chloe, one brother Roger Rickrode of Carlisle, two sisters Tammy Wisser of Maryland, and Jody Sherman of Carlisle.
He is preceded in death by one sister Lisa Rickrode.
A visitation will be held Saturday December 9, 2017 from 2 to 3 PM in the Plainfield First Church of God 2089 Newville Rd. Plainfield. A memorial service with Rev. James Klock and Rev. Dean Ramsey officiating will be held 3 PM Saturday in the Church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation 383 Main Ave., 5th Floor Norwalk, CT 06851.
