Roger E. Wagner, age 85, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025, at home. He was born on November 26, 1939, in North Newton Township, the son of the late Clara (Jumper) and Kenneth Wagner, Sr.
Roger was the co-owner of The New C.W. Fritz Company and a devoted member of the Trinity Global Methodist Church of New Kingstown. A lifetime member of the New Kingstown Fire Company, he proudly served as the former Fire Police Captain and dedicated 25 years as the Forest Fire Warden.
Roger was also actively involved in his community through various organizations, including the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post 26 in Dillsburg, AARP, and a life member of the Silver Spring Ambulance and Rescue Association.
In his free time, Roger enjoyed racing, camping, and hunting, which reflected his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors.
Roger is survived by his loving wife, LaRue (Geer) Wagner; two stepchildren, Brian Armstrong and wife Debra, and Wendy Armstrong; three siblings, Leroy Wagner and wife, Mick, Kenneth Wagner, Jr., and Darlene Brown; two step-granddaughters, Heather Armstrong and Amanda Graf and husband Matthew; and four step-great-grandchildren, Haley, Michael, Brianna and Ryan. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Michael Armstrong and his four brothers, Paul, Earnest, Oren and Jay Wagner.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Trinity Global Methodist Church of New Kingstown, 4 West Main Street, New Kingstown.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Homeland Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way, Suite 270, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

I loved being a caregiver for Roger, His wife LaRue and him are wonderful people., I loved when I would show up there when he was still walking he would be standing at the door looking out a few times I would say what are you doing he would say waiting for you to get me coffee and he would give me his big smile.
