Born Sept. 20, 1970, in Salt Lake City, Utah, he was a son of Carol L. and stepson of Denis Roherbaugh of Shippensburg and a son of the late David W. Varner.
Mr. Varner was an employee of Agar Welding and Steel Supply in Carlisle. He was an Army veteran and a 1989 graduate of Shippensburg Area High School.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, survivors include two brothers, Samuel S. and Randy E. of Shippensburg; his maternal grandmother, Marie V. Hancock of Price, Utah; and two nephews, Scott W. Varner of Chambersburg and Lance K. Varner of Shippensburg.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg, with the Rev. Paul L. Tatum officiating. Military services by Shippensburg VFW and American Legion posts will follow.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
No viewing is planned, but friends may call one hour before the services.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
