Ruth Stoner Obituary
RUTH STONER 2/18/1922 – 12/30/2014
Ruth Elizabeth (Smee) Stoner, age 92, went to be with her blessed Savior and Lord. She arrived in time to be in Glory with her husband Jess for their 69th wedding anniversary.
Ruth was born in Middlesex near Carlisle, Pa., the daughter of the late Ira and Myrtle Smee. She was a graduate of the former Messiah Academy and Polyclinic Hospital School of Nursing. After the birth of her children Ruth dedicated herself to homemaking, child care and church work. She lived her faith as a gentle and hard working servant of others. In her golden years she was a member of the Messiah Village Church and the Auxiliary of the Gideons Int.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Jess B. Stoner. She is survived by her 3 children Floyd Stoner and his wife Dena, Ralph Stoner and his wife Sharon, and Nancy Heisey and her husband Richard. She also has 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Ruth will be missed by many.
A memorial service will be scheduled at the convenience of the family.
The family has entrusted the care of the Matinchek and Daughter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Middletown, Pa. to handle the arrangements.
