Sharon Shenk Obituary

Sharon Anne Shenk, 79, of Boiling Springs, passed away peacefully on August 13th, 2025. Sharon was born on August 6th in Dubois, PA to Spurgeon and Elizabeth Alsbaugh.

Sharon graduated from Carlisle High School and went on to become a hair dresser, eventually working for Sprint, where she retired after a successful career. She and her husband, Larry, lived in the town of Boiling Springs for over 30 years.

Sharon had a passion for crocheting, puzzles, and cross stitching. She will be remembered for her love to talk, storytelling, warm smile, kindness, and heart full of humor.

She is survived by her three children Travis Shenk (Beth), Trevor Kent, Dawn Waterman (Andrew), stepson Doug Shenk (Janet), sister Janice Cole (David), and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her late husband Larry Douglas Shenk, Sr, her parents Spurgeon and Elizabeth Alsbaugh, her siblings, David Alsbaugh, Barbara Grippin, Sylvia Rambo and Ruth Coulson, along with her stepdaughter Dawn Shenk.

A celebration of life will be held on September 28, 2025 at the VFW on 2104 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle. PA from 1-3 p.m. All are welcome to join in celebrating Sharon's life. The memorial service will be held privately with the family.

I hadn't seen her for many years. I knew her from "the phone company" as we ised to say. She was a dear sole who could always make you smile!! She had such a warm heart! I am so very sorry for yoyr loss. Try to remember she was loved bt many!
