Thomas F. Rumberger

Born April 27, 1914, in Perry County, he was a son of the late Charles T. and Eleanor (Wert) Rumberger.

Mr. Rumberger was a retired employee of PennDOT. He was an Army veteran having served during World War II.

He was a member of the Perry Valley Presbyterian Church, a member of Newport American Legion Post 177, a former Republican Party County Committee member and a member of the Millerstown Fire Co. and Ambulance League.

Mr. Rumberger is survived by his wife, Ardella M. (Noll) Rumberger; two sons, Donald E. Rumberger of Thompsontown and Richard L. Rumberger of Millerstown; a daughter, Mary L. Kissinger of Millerstown; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jonathan Rumberger and a sister, Anna Page.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Myers Funeral Home, Second and Walnut streets, Newport, with Pastor Rodney Bower officiating. Burial with full military honors conducted by the New Bloomfield VFW Post 7463 and the Newport American Legion Post 177 will be in Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. Friday until time of services in the funeral home.
