Glenn Harold Anderson, 65, of Artesia, NM, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at his home. Cremation has taken place under the direction of West Funeral Home. The family is having a Memorial service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Harvest Fellowship Church (404 W. Richey Ave., Artesia) with Pastor Ronnie Williams officiating. Glenn Harold Anderson was born to Harold and Jeanette MacIver Anderson on November 25, 1950 in Glenwood, Minnesota. He was raised in Lowry, MN and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1968.
He was employed in the concrete business throughout his life. He lived in Denver, CO before moving to Albuquerque, NM and El Paso, TX where he owned and operated Concrete Pumping, Inc. In 1982, following the sale of his business, he moved to Carlsbad and was employed at Southeast Ready - Mix for many years prior to moving to Artesia, NM and working for Southwest Concrete Construction, Inc.
Glenn loved fishing, working crossword puzzles and making his annual trip to Minnesota to can dill pickles and other vegetables with his family.
He is preceded in death by his father Harold Anderson.
Glenn is survived by his mother Jeanette Anderson of St. Cloud, MN; daughters, Christine and husband Stuart Baker and Caryn and husband Johnny Rodriguez, all of Albuquerque, their mother Angela Anderson of Carlsbad; brothers John (Julie) Anderson of Goodyear, AZ and Dean (Leslie) Anderson of Paradise, CA; sisters Judy Carrigan and Nancy Anderson both of St. Cloud, MN, Bonnie Rossi of Federal Way, WA, Barbara (Greg) Rosten of Audubon, MN and Brenda (John) Halvorson of Dent, MN; grandchildren Jadyn Rodriguez, Brian and Saffi Baker, all of Albuquerque, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.
