Services for Marilyn are scheduled at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 7th, 2016 at the Artesia High School Auditorium. Mike Elliott will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 6th 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Terpening & Son Mortuary. Marilyn Yvonne Chase passed away Saturday, December 3rd in Ruidoso, New Mexico. She will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who could bring a smile to everyone around her. Marilyn loved spending time with her family and dear friends, travelling, western movies, scrapbooking and going to country music concerts. She was a member of Clarke Memorial Methodist Church and a founder of the Chase Foundation. Marilyn was born on July 9th 1935 in Headrick, Oklahoma, the daughter of Curtis & Inez Stack. On November 20th 1953 she married the love of her life, Mack Chase in Carlsbad, New Mexico. They recently celebrated their 63rd anniversary.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Terry Lynn, her parent's, brother C.P. Stack, sister Jeannette Richardson, and brother-in-law Lewis Richardson. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Mack Chase of the home, sons Robert & wife Deb of Artesia, Richard & wife Karla of Artesia, daughter Gerene & husband Greg of Lubbock, TX, grandchildren; Chance & wife Claire & their children, Cash & Collins of Roswell, Kortney of Austin, TX, Derek of Artesia, Jacey, Delaney & Dallas of Lubbock, TX.
