Rosella Muñoz Obituary
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. today (Jan. 8) at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. today at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will be in Santa Catarina Cemetery, Carlsbad, N.M. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Rosella L. Muñoz was born Aug. 11, 1963, in Carlsbad, N.M., to Polo and Hortenica (Leos) Muñoz. She loved her family and her Catholic faith. Rosella was never empty handed; she continually brought gifts to her family and friends on each visit. She enjoyed listening to music as well. Rosella cherished the relationships that she had at AA. Most importantly in her life were her beautiful children.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Apolonio "Polo" Muñoz and Hortencia "Tencha" Muñoz; brother, Frank Muñoz; a niece; a nephew; and her grandparents.
Survivors are her son, James Apolonio Muñoz of Carlsbad, N.M.; twin daughters: Jacquline Rose Muñoz of Carlsbad, N.M., and Jona Lee Muñoz of Carlsbad, N.M.; siblings: Delora Elizondo of Carlsbad, N.M., Anna Rodriguez of Carlsbad, N.M., Rudy Muñoz and wife, Lovie of Carlsbad, N.M., Michael Muñoz and wife, Rose of San Diego, Calif., Teresa Muñoz and Jimmy Morgan of Carlsbad, N.M., and Felice Muñoz of Carlsbad, N.M.; sister-in-law, Irma Muñoz of Carlsbad, N.M.; adopted brother, Michael James Muñoz; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Tony Elizondo, Jonathan Muñoz, Isaac Muñoz, Jeremy Muñoz, Anthony Hernandez, LeRoy Lopez, Luis Villegas and Aaron Hernandez.
