Betty Thompson Obituary
Thompson was born November 14, 1940 in Ansley to Leo and Blanch (Hammer) Anderson. She was raised in Ansley and Arcadia, and received her education from Arcadia Public Schools.
She was united in marriage to David Thompson July 21, 1957 in Wiesert. The couple resided in Arcadia, Alda and Grand Island where she worked various jobs at the Nebraska Veterans Home before her retirement.
She was a member of Third City Christian Church, the VFW Auxiliary, Eagles Club, enjoyed collecting rocks. Thompson was a member of the Kearney Rock Club and GI Earth Science Club. She liked to crochet and work with floral arrangements.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Donna Thompson, Allen (Jacy) Thompson, Bud (Lori) Thompson, Corena (Ken) Hinze; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; brother, Theo Anderson; sister, Mary Stefka.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Tommy; brothers, Robert, Vernon, Ival and Keith Anderson; sisters, Roberta Bland, Emma Stefka, Cleo Peterson and Donna Longenecker.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13 at Third City Christian Church with Nick Schonlau officiating. Burial of ashes will be in the Arcadia Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be an hour prior to the start of the services.

I well remember Betty growing up in Arcadia and her early years of marriage to Dave. So sorry that I won´t be able to attend the service but we send our thoughts and prayers to all of the family including Mary and Theo.
