Mary Lou Petersen Obituary
Born on Feb. 22, 1949, in Loup City, Neb., Mary Lou grew up in a large family in Arcadia. She attended Arcadia Public School where she was involved in cheerleading, pep club, softball, and volleyball.
Mary Lou loved music, gardening, horses, baking and cooking. She was a devoted supporter of her children's and grandchildren's activities and enjoyed playing games like pitch and dominoes.
She worked in the specialty clinic at Jennie Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow for 25 years and was known for her compassion and caring nature.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Mary Lou's name to support causes that were close to her heart.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, at Arcadia Methodist Church in Arcadia, followed by interment at the Arcadia Cemetery. Visitation will be take place on Thursday, Jan. 30, from 5-7 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Govier Brothers Funeral Home.
