Sarah Staggers Obituary

Sarah Sue Staggers, 80, of Charlottesville, Va. died on August 8, 2025 at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital. She was born on February 8, 1945 in Waynesburg, Pa., the daughter of the late Herbert and Carolyn Staggers. She worked as an LPN for over 30 years in Charlottesville, ending her career working at Sentara Martha Jefferson. She is survived by three sisters: Connie Andersen, Peggy Metzger, and Donna Staggers all of Charlotte, N.C., and two brothers: Richard Staggers of Gunter, Texas and Ralph Staggers of Butler, Penn. She is also survived by four nieces and two nephews. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Sentara Martha Jefferson for their wonderful care and compassion. In addition, they would like to thank her pastors and church family at RiverStone Church in Charlottesville, Va. Special thanks go to her dear friends, Maria and Eric Santana, David Brown, Lori Weakley and Cheri and Ronnie Snead of Charlottesville. There will be a private burial for Sarah in Pennsylvania. The family asks that in memory of Sarah, a deed of kindness be performed for those in need.
