Virgil Berry Obituary

Born June 21,1941, he was the son of Charles Samuel Berry and Bertha Lee Berry. He was preceded in death by his brother, A. D. Berry, of Waynesboro, Va. and his sister, Helen Brenda Shell, of Augusta County, Va.

Virgil is survived by his wife, Beth H. Berry, of Albemarle County, Va., his son, Mark H. Berry and his wife, Melissa Ann Berry both of Ruckersville, Va.; two grandchildren, Lauren Ashleigh Renick and Marcus Brandon Berry, also of Ruckersville, Va.; and five great-grandchildren: Maddie, Afton, Silas, Zera and Abby, who were all the love of his life.

He was a long-time employee of Bank of America. In his leisure time you would find him working in the yard, but his favorite past time was spending time with his family.

A graveside service will take place at the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Buck Mountain Road, Earlysville, Va., across from the church at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Sentara Martha Jefferson Cancer Center.
