Forrest Gill, 91, of Florence, Ky., formerly of Berry, passed away on Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, at the Hospice of St. Elizabeth Health Care in Edgewood. Born on Jan. 11, 1930 in Harrison County, Ky., he was the only child and beloved son of the late Emery Frank and Birdella Beagle Gill, of whom he took wonderful care.
For many years, Forrest worked as an accountant with General Electric in Cincinnati, Ohio. From childhood, he was a member of the Colemansville Christian Church, where he served as an elder and treasurer. Forrest proudly served in the U.S. Army from April 5, 1951 to March 11, 1953.
Forrest loved his family and friends. He always made an effort to maintain those relationships, to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and to carry out any and all tasks entrusted to his care, with the utmost attention to detail. He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 20 at Pythian Grove Cemetery, Berry, with full military honors by the Hardin Browning Post No. 109.
