Ralph Lee Linville

1931 - 2021

Ralph Lee Linville, 90, returned to his Heavenly Father Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, at Cedar Ridge Health Campus in Cynthiana. He was born Feb. 13, 1931 to the late Earl and Jerene Turner Linville.
He was president of the first graduating class of Bourbon County Vocational High School in 1949. Following graduation, he began vigorously pursuing a lifelong career in agriculture. Well known for his success as a farmer, his efforts were recognized when he was named Young Farmer of the Year. Additionally, Ralph was instrumental in the formation of the Kentucky Young Farmers Association.
He served on numerous agricultural committees on both the local and state level, always utilizing progressive farming techniques. Known for his work ethic, determination, and honesty, he instilled those values in everyone he loved. He had a deep appreciation for music and singing gospel music. He was an active member of Ruddles Mill Christian Church where he served as Sunday School teacher, superintendent, and member of the board.
Ralph is survived by a daughter, Julie Linville (Dennie Lee) Ferrell; two granddaughters, Sara (Alex) Wells, Paige Florence; three great-grandchildren, Ivy Camille Baxter, Harper Allison Wells Chandler Elizabeth Wells; three grandchildren, Debra Lee (Billy) Wade, Hillary (Andrew) Norton, Todd (Alex) Ferrell; and 11 step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Lee Stephen Linville; twin brother, Royce Linville; brother Robert Earl Linville, Gene McClellan Lineville Sr.; and his sister, Margret Watkins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 11 a.m. at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. The service will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John McGuire officiating and interment will be in the Paris Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Alex Wells, Todd Ferrell, Keith Waugh, Lee Chanslor, Jarrett Nash, Gary Watson, and Billy Wade.
Honorary bearers will be Dr. Robert Biddle, Ronald Chanslor, Steve Turner, Buddy Turpin, and Henry Brown.
