BONNIE LINDGREN Obituary
Born Sept. 15, 1940, in Sycamore, the daughter of Thurston and Hazel Christina (Kallman) Erickson, she married Robert W. Lindgren Nov. 4, 1961, at Salem Lutheran Church, Sycamore; he predeceased her Sept. 4, 2003.
Bonnie was a graduate of Sycamore High School and a 55-year confirmed member of Salem Lutheran Church of Sycamore. She was a Chicago Bears fan, an excellent cook and her family enjoyed the special dishes she prepared for the holidays. Bonnie's home and family were very important to her; she enjoyed her spacious yard, gardens and abundant deer and wildlife. Her best times included traveling, especially to Chetek, Wis., with her husband and family. Bonnie was very proud of her heritage, being 100 percent Swedish. Bonnie will be greatly missed.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff at Oak Crest Health Center, DeKalb County Hospice, the pastor and staff of Salem Lutheran Church, and to friends, who showed love and support.
She is survived by her son, Neil Lindgren of Sycamore; daughter, Jennifer Lindgren; sisters, Jan (George) Holland of Sycamore, Jo-an Fruend of Bakersfield, Calif.; nieces and nephews, Kim (Chris) Seistrup of Gilbert, Ariz., Kelly (Rick) Fortnum of Bakersfield, Calif., Kathy (Mike) Fackler of Bakersfield, Calif.; sister-in-law, Diane (Ken) Thelen of Dunwoody, Ga.; and other family members and special friends.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband; and brother-in-law, Gale Fruend.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at Salem Lutheran Church, 1145 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, with the Rev. Dr. Janet H. Hunt officiating, and burial at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, at Olson Funeral & Cremation Services Ltd., Quiram Sycamore Chapel, 1245 Somonauk St., Sycamore, and one hour before the service at church.
Memorials can go to Salem Lutheran Church, or DeKalb County Hospice, 2727 Sycamore Road, Suite 1B, DeKalb, IL 60115.
