David Allen Obituary

David Dean Allen

Born: July 16, 1982

Died: April 1, 2018

David Dean Allen, 35, of Kingston, Illinois, passed away suddenly April 1, 2018, from a car accident

The son of Debra Poe, he was born July 16, 1982, in Sycamore. On August 8, 2008, he met his best friend, Sharon Szabo of Kingston, and began their journey together in marriage on December 11, 2012. For many years, David worked as a Union carpenter for Local 792 in Rockford. He loved spending time in the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He was one of the greatest fans of Alabama Crimson Tide football. With every victory one could hear him yell, "Roll Tide!" Perhaps he will best be remembered as a hardworking man who deeply loved and provided for his family, as well as his kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and his ability to make people smile.

David was loved and will be missed by his wife, Sharon; children, Dakota Allen, Jessica Harris and Shawn Harris; grandson, Bryson Dean Harris; mother, Debra; brother, Jacob Allen; and nephew, Dominick Allen.

Preceding him in death are his grandparents; and brother, Douglas Wayne Allen.

The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm Friday, April 6, 2018, at Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Cooper-Quiram Chapel, 202 E. Main St., Genoa. Visitation will be held prior, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, at the funeral home.

The loss of your loved one is painful and it will be hard trying to express to others how you really feel. Those who love you understand and will stand by you to help you through this most difficult time. (Proverbs 17:17)
