Donald F. Davidson, 80, of Sycamore died Friday, January 2, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 13, 1934, in Cokato, MN. The son of Forrest and Lempi (Selma) Davidson. Don worked for Mascal Electric, retiring after several years of service. He loved to go fishing, enjoyed dancing and listening to music.
Survivors include his three children, Deborah Davidson of Sycamore, Valerie (TJ) Kennedy of Broadlands, VA. and Steven (Sue) Davidson of Hibbing, MN; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; his close companion of 22 years, Lorna Knuuttila of Sycamore; and two sisters, Sharon (Ron) Buetow and Gloria Lampel, both of MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Arlene Fahlstrom.
His Memorial Service will be on Saturday, February 7th at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1915 N. First St., DeKalb, IL 60115. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Kishwaukee Cancer Center in care of the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL 60178.

Our thoughts and prayers are going out to the entire Davidson family and Lorna. I am thankful for the past few years where we got to spend more time with Uncle Don. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Steve, Val & Deb. It was very sad news to hear of Don's passing. He was such a fun person to be around. Many fond memories of him & the family.
Don was best man at our wedding in June of '62, then we had many times getting together at each others homes. Precious memories for us & I know you have many more of your own & I pray you have the comfort of our Heavenly Father!
