Margaret Peirce Obituary

Margaret Peirce

Born: January 17, 1941

Died: July 15, 2017

Margaret "Maggie, Peggye" Peirce, died at home Saturday, July 15, 2017, with many friends and her daughter-in-law Anne Salva with her.

Maggie was born in Hinsdale, IL Jan. 17, 1941 to parents Leonard and Bebe (Elizabeth Roberts) Peirce. She graduated from Hinsdale Township High School in 1959.

Maggie loved her family, her friends, being with people, having conversation and laughing. She was an excellent cook, and had a flair with decorating. She enjoyed her garden, and volunteering at her church. And she loved her dog, Zoe.

Maggie is survived by her son, Scott Busch; her daughters-in-law, Anne Salva and Laura Busch; her grandchildren; her sister, Debbie (Leonard) Wawrzyniak; and her brother, Vic (Bette) Peirce; and an extended family of cousins and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Jeffrey Busch.

The family is indebted to Anne Salva. She lived with Maggie for her last months, and brightened her life with her love, expert care, strength and sense of humor. The experience convinced Anne she wants to continue her education, in the health field, so she can help more people like she helped Maggie.

A memorial service is planned at St. Peter's Church in Sycamore, IL September 6 at 11:00.

In lieu of flowers, please consider the Anne Salva Education Fund at any Fifth Third Bank.

Maggie has left her footprint on my heart for the genuine, curious, kind and the love she has shared with her family and friends. Maggie spoke what was on her mind and shared in a very honest way how she felt about life. Made me giggle so many times. Maggie will always remind me of a "firecracker" full of fire and spark. Maggie it was a privilege being with you, Anne, fur buddy Zoe as you quietly were carried away from us in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. You showed such courage and strength through your illness. God Bless you my friend. P.S. Wherever you are enjoy all the chips, salsa and chocolate cake you want.
