To the family and friends of Kent.
Please accept my condolences and prayers with the passing of Kent. I got a chance to know Kent at a very early age when my dad would take me to Johnson Concrete here in DeKalb to see the cement trucks and how they were filled. Kent always with a smile seemed to find time to be able to take me out into the yard and show me the operations. As I got older and started working on my own Kent was there again to help me with any questions I had about concrete mixes. There was always time for a little joke or how I was doing. Never saw much of Kent after Johnson Concrete was sold but this company was a very important part of DeKalb in its growth. I am fortunate to be able to say that I knew a man like Kent. He will be missed by many.

Kent was a special person in my life. I worked for him for 20 years at Johnson Concrete. He was not only a great boss, but a good friend. He will be missed dearly.

Evie, Julie and Jennifer, I heard through Bonnie Zagoren of Kent's death. He was a terrific husband, father, grandfather and friend! Kent will be greatly missed by all of us who were blessed to have known him. God bless you and keep you. Much love, Karole Grace

"Uncle" Kent was my Dad's best friend, and the fishing competitions between them were as big as the supposed fish they always caught and released. I have so many fond memories growing up with him around our home, throughout the years of different family and friend events. I'm sure I can speak for our family, that he will be deeply missed.

I had the highest regard for Kent. I operated a small business as a Mason contractor and Kent always made me feel that I was as important to their business as a big contractor. He always had time to visit and loved to talk about his family and fishing. Johnsons Concrete had the best employee's and I tribute that to the way they were treated by Kent and his dad Glen. It was a pleasure to do business with JOHNSON'S CONCRETE.
