Robert C. Larson, 91, of Shabbona, Illinois, died on May 1, 2017 at Pine Acres Rehabilitation & Living Center in DeKalb, Illinois.
He was born on April 7, 1926 at the family homestead in Paw Paw Township, Illinois,the son of Frank and Hazel (Risley) Larson.
He married Janet Firkins on January 14, 1950 in Shabbona, Illinois, and farmed in DeKalb County over fifty years.
Robert enjoyed his family, spending winters in Daytona Beach, Florida, NASCAR, and antique farm equipment. He was a member of the Shabbona-Lee-Rollo Museum.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Janet; four children, Steven (LaVonne) Larson of Surprise, Arizona; Gene (Mary) Larson of Shabbona; Pamela (Michael) Lange of Princeton, Illinois; Jeff (Sharlyn) Larson of Shabbona; six grandchildren, Dan (Kimber)Larson, Ann (Justin) Horack, Tim Lange, Alex Lange, Ryan (Brittany) Larson, Zachary Larson; three great-grandchildren, Wyatt Larson, Clara Larson, Braelyn Larson.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; four sisters, Gladys Mason, Irene Fletre, Doris Larson, Helen Mack; three brothers, Floyd, Lloyd and Stanley Larson; and a great-granddaughter, Charlotte Ann Larson.
In keeping with Robert's wishes, there will be private graveside services with burial of cremains at Rose Hill Cemetery in Shabbona.
Memorials may be directed to the Shabbona-Lee-Rollo Museum or the Shabbona Fire Department.
Arrangements were completed by Jacobson Funeral Home in Shabbona.
