Ruby K. Jensen, 97, of Sycamore died Sunday, July 2, 2023 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born March 8, 1926 in DeKalb to Charles and Minnie (Kayes) Hendron. Ruby married Merrill B. Jensen in 1946 and raised their family in Sycamore.
Ruby loved many things, including caring for her home and family, shopping, fast walks, time with friends, travel and her church. Most of all, she loved her Lake Geneva home, boating and of course her daily glass of wine.
Survivors include one son, Dan (Toni) Jensen; one daughter, Nancy (Larry) Leiseberg; six grandchildren, Dan B.(Vanessa) Jensen, Nicole Reeves, Talla (Chris) Smith, Sydney (Bobby) Ciccarelli, Cody and Nick (Jamie) Leiseberg; six great grandchildren, Logan and Lily Reeves, Charlie and Rylee Jo Ciccarelli, Casey and Clayton Leiseberg; one brother, Chuck (Luanne) Hendron; daughter-in-law, Lynn Jensen and two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Hendron and Marilyn Hendron.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, David Jensen and Ron Jensen and two brothers, James "Jimmy" Hendron and William "Billy" Hendron.
Her memorial visitation will be on Friday, July 21st from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home in Sycamore.
A private burial took place at the Elmwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Sycamore United Methodist Church in care of the Butala Funeral Home,1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. 60178.
