Sean Patrick Scanlon passed away on September 25, 2018, at the age of 33 years old, announces the family with great sadness. Sean was born April 2, 1985 in Dearborn, Michigan.
Sean will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Donna and Mark Scanlon Sr.; older brother, Mark Scanlon Jr.; younger sister, Colleen (Robert) Russell; nieces, Kayleigh and Delaney Scanlon; long-time friend, Dorothy Clucas; and countless others.
Sean was a talented artist whose music was loved by many. Sean's passion for music and joy of bringing people together led him to open Fireside Brewing in Holland, Michigan. We will remember Sean as a kind, outgoing, gentle soul. Sean knew how to make others laugh and feel included. No one was ever a stranger when Sean was around.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. at O'Leary's Ale House, 260 East Lincoln Highway, DeKalb, Illinois. All are welcome. Please bring your favorite picture of Sean for the family's memory album. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Finch Crematory.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the family to be established at a later date.

I am so incredibly sad to hear of Sean's passing. He was truly the sweetest and most genuine guy. I always think of him with a huge smile on his face. I am heartbroken for everyone. Sending so much love and thoughts from Minneapolis.

I'm so sorry to hear about Sean...gone way too young. He will be sadly missed.
I am looking over my unedited video from rehearsals and performances by The Fifths at Fireside in Holland, and will probably create a Youtube channel of The Fifths content, in honor and in memory of Sean (and friends).

Im so sorry to hear about Seans passing. As my first cousin, I wish I would have had more time to get to know him. My heart is broken for Colleen, Donna, and Mark. Way too young for a life to be taken. It makes me very sad to hear the news. Prayers for you all.
