Stanley J. Brint, 89, of DeKalb, Illinois, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Bethany Healthcare and Rehab Center.
He was born October 11, 1928, in Roseburg, Oregon, the son of Stanley and Bessie (Densmore) Brint. Stanley married Barbara Rose French on December 26, 1953, at the First Baptist Church in DeKalb.
Stanley was a 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force, having served his final year in Vietnam. He retired from Northern Illinois University heating plant after 25 years. Stanley enjoyed playing cards, cooking, camping, watching stock car racing at Bob-Jo and Rockford Speedways, the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He loved his family and home and taking care of his great-grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his four children, Kevin (Lonnie) Brint of Sycamore, Roger (Pam) Brint of Nebo, North Carolina, David (Holly) Brint of Good Hope, Illinois, Karen (Michael Ruemelin) Brint of Genoa; his grandchildren, Jodi McCall, Carol Slutz, Hayden Brint, Hannah Brint; four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jaedyn, Zach, Drake; three brothers; one sister; four sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters.
At Stanley's request there will be no services. Cremation has taken place and interment of cremated remains will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, addressed to the Brint Family in care of Anderson Funeral Home, Ltd., P.O. Box 605, 2011 South Fourth Street, DeKalb, IL 60115.
