I'm so sorry to hear of Steve's passing and his families loss. He was mine and my husband's neighbor for 10 years. He always helped us with things inside and outside of our home and would always initiate conversations and was always very kind. I will always remember him standing outside of where the fireworks were held taking donations and handing out fliers. He will be missed!! Jennifer Brower

So sorry to hear of Steve's passing. Really a good guy and very kind. When I moved to DeKalb in 1966 and joined the high school band Steve took me under his wing and made me feel welcome.

Steve sat next to me in many a class in school. He was always a kind and gentle soul. Although I haven't seen him in so many years, it grieves me much to hear of his passing. God bless you all.

His smile says it all!

My heartfelt condolences to the family. Words cannot ease the pain of losing someone you love. May the God of loving-kindness and compassion console your heart during this difficult time. Psalms 94:18-19.
