Cheryl Lynn Hiles

Cheryl Lynn Hiles, age 69 of The Villages, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the University of Florida Hospital, The Villages of Florida. Cheryl was born February 9, 1956, in Kankakee, the only daughter of Gene and Juanita (Reiniche) Reichert. Cheryl married Fred Hiles on November 6, 1976, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Kankakee.

Cheryl was a homemaker and a licensed barber. She was a graduate of Westview High School in Kankakee.

Cheryl enjoyed golfing and socializing. Meme, as she was known to her grandchildren, loved spending time and making memories with all 10 of them.

Surviving is her husband, Fred of The Villages; two sons, Nicholas (Chelsea) Hiles of Villa Rica, GA, Jonathan (Rebecca) Hiles of Montgomery, IL; one daughter, Stephanie (Kevin) Jones of Coosada, AL; and 10 grandchildren, Averie Jones, Khloe Jones, Dominic Jones, Tristen Jones, Grayson Jones, Brynlee Hiles, William T. Hiles, Bo Hiles, Eli Hiles, and Samantha Hiles.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Juanita Reichert.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. memorial service on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais. Deacon Patrick Skelly will officiate the service. Inurnment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais.
