Christina R. "Chris" Francoeur, age 57, of Bourbonnais passed away Monday, November 17, 2025 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. She was born April 6, 1968 in Kankakee, the daughter of Roland & Freda (Saunders) Wolfe. Chris married Darrin Francoeur on October 25, 2008 in their home in Bourbonnais.
Chris worked in financial aid at Olivet Nazarene University, her alma mater, where she made lifelong friendships including her core group, The Golden Girls. She loved the outdoors, especially hiking and swimming with her husband. Chris loved reading, crocheting, and most of all spending time with her family. She had a deep faith in God.
She attended Cornerstone Church and was raised at College Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are her husband of 17 years, Darrin Francoeur of Bourbonnais; her children, Meghan (Matt) Samples of Reddick, Andrew (Alyse) Leavitt of Portage, MI, Aaron (Natasha) Leavitt of Jackson, MI, Logan Leavitt of Los Angeles, CA, Micaela Leavitt of Bourbonnais, Hailey Francouer of Niceville, FL, Nicholas (Marissa) Francoeur of Momence, and Jared Francoeur of Bradley; her mother, Freda Wolfe of Bradley; one sister, Deborah (Michael) DeVore of Kankakee; eight grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Chris is preceded in death by her father and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held from 10am until 11:30am with the funeral to follow at 12pm (noon) on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at College Church of the Nazarene in Bourbonnais. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.
Memorials may be made to the Riverside Cancer Center.
