Theresa A. O'Connor, age 86, of Bourbonnais, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee.
She was born on November 18, 1939 in Kankakee, the daughter of Joseph & Rita Schultz Quigley.
Theresa married Donald J. O'Connor on December 1, 1956 at St. Patrick Church in Kankakee. He preceded her in death on September 9, 2006.
Theresa retired from Bosch Inc. She also worked at Walmart.
She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities. Theresa was a parishioner of St. Rose Chapel in Kankakee.
Surviving are one son, Mike & Tina O'Connor of Bourbonnais; one daughter, Debbie Ponton of Chebanse; two sisters, JoAnn & Robert Mulligan of Kankakee and Rose Mary Scroggins of Kankakee; one brother, Michael & Judy Quigley of St. Anne; six grandchildren, Dawn (Brian) Sopko, Jeff (Misty) Janssen, Megan O'Connor, Mallory O'Connor, Michael O'Connor, and Chris Cole; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler Janssen, Mady Janssen, and Brandon Sopko.
In addition to her husband, Theresa is preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle Cole; and one great-grandchild, Bennett Sopko.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Inurnment will follow at St. James Cemetery in Irwin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bishop McNamara Catholic Schools, Uplifted Care, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
