William Harvoth Obituary

William Steven "Billy" Harvoth, age 67, of Bradley, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025 at his home.

He was born February 11, 1958 in Gary, IN, the son of William & Veronica Oslizlo Harvoth.

Billy graduated from Merrillville High School in 1977.

He worked for nearly three decades - 29.5 years- at Nucor Steel as a Guide Builder in the rolling mill, retiring in 2023. Billy had also worked at Michael Oldsmobile and Bill Kay Honda.

Billy enjoyed spending time playing cards, golfing, and bowling. He was a passionate fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs.

He is survived by his former wife and dear friend, Jennifer Harvoth of Bourbonnais; his children, Tony (Lauren) Tousignant of Streetsboro, OH, Craig (Angela) Tousignant of Bourbonnais, and Amy (Boone) Scheer of Ketchikan, AK; and his beloved grandchildren, Logan, Mason, and Addison Tousignant, along with Jax and Radlee Scheer. He is also survived by his father, William Harvoth of Crown Point, IN; two sisters, Cyndi Ninkovich of Crown Point, IN and Dianne (Ray) Koch of Oak Creek, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Veronica Harvoth; and one brother-in-law, Mike Ninkovich.

A devoted father, papa, son, brother, and friend, Billy will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais.

Private family inurnment will be held at All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais.
