Carl T. Samson

Age 94, passed away peacefully at South Suburban Hospital on August 12, 2021. Loving husband to Lois W. Samson (née Wilson) for 64 years until her passing last year. Carl was the eighth of nine children born to Apolonia (née Tomaszewska) Samsonowski in Pittsburgh, PA, and relocated to Homewood, IL in 1973. Carl served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, graduated from Duquesne University, and retired from U.S. Steel. Loving father to Linda (Jim) McWilliams, Laura Sesol (late Jeff Hartman), Jan (Dave) Ebert, Robert (Marie Walter) Samson, Nancy (John) Toms and Thomas (Cheri Lawler) Samson. Relished his role as grandpa to Brian Sesol, Katie McWilliams, Patrick McWilliams, Jared McWilliams, David McWilliams, Lauren Worden, Kelley Kasper, Joe Samson, Emma Toms, Ethan Toms, Jessica Nelson, Rachael Baird and Aaron Hartman and great-grandpa to 13. Memorial service to be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 17951 Dixie Highway, Homewood, IL on September 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
